I had a guitar teacher named Leroy once. He was and probably remains the coolest dude around. This picture is of a creature named Leroy and not my guitar teacher... because the REAL Leroy is not a big fat guy. Gordon's just some old creature.

Boyz 'n' Girlz

So here's another couple of characters I created for a comic book that I wanted to do. Haven't had time to actually do it though which has been the sad part. Like the characters, like the story... need more hours in the day. Can somebody please get on that for me? Thanks.

Action Dude Again

I like this guy. I wanted to make a comic book out of him, that half-drawn person behind him was supposed to be his partner. But I don't think I really wanted to write the story as I had constructed for them in my head. I still like the character designs though. One of these days I may revisit with a new story. For now? Just sketches.

Shotgun Gurl

Happy Saturday! I know a few people who said that they didn't like Despicable Me. These people are good friends and have strong taste when it comes to movies. I hope they don't like me less when I say I enjoyed it quite a bit. Why? Because every time Gru said, "Girls" it came out as "Guurls" which I always found funny for some reason.

That's really neither here nor there. Above you see a picture of a girl with a shotgun. What is it? Where did it come from? What will I do with it? I DON'T KNOW!!!!

Back to Batman

I loves me some Batman... movies. Batman movies. I'll admit that I don't read the comics at all. I read Hush which was great. But that's about it. Batman Begins was awesome. Love that movie. Just don't read the comic. Weird huh?! Anyway, here's a quick inkwash. It came out alright I think.

Super Dinosaur

I'll say I was a little perturbed when I read that Robert Kirkman was working with Jason Howard on a book called Super Dinosaur. Why, you ask? Because if there are two things in this world I love, they are Dinosaurs and Robots... and this book has both combined into one.... and now it will never be mine. Oh well. I can still draw it on my own!

Skeleton Jump

ACTION POSE! This is a character study for a comic I was going to write and draw... but sadly there are only 24 hours in a day, and I very much have a day job. I am happy to report however, that this action pose came out better than I expected it to! It's always nice when you're hands manifest the images in your brain well. It doesn't happen often for me, so when it does, I relish it.

Thor: Prepare for Battle.

I have a bit of a bone to pick with the producers of the upcoming Thor movie. I'm sure Chris Hemsworth is a fine actor. But why doesn't that dude look like G-D Zakk Wylde? He's THOR. He should be ultra nordic, steering wicker boats in raging seas during a thunderstorm with his teeth wearing leather and horns. Then he should be grabbing monsters by the loin cloths and beating to death with hammers. This movie needs to be heavy effing metal, Scandinavia-style. Instead, we have a guy in shiny armor with a way too well manicured beard. Missed opportunity if you ask me. Anyway, here's Thor getting ready to take a crap.

Old Corporal Bear

Way back in the day when I was first sketching up the characters for Bear and Tiger, I drew this picture of Corporal Bear. As you can see, he had eyes back then!! I also knew I wanted there to be a lot of gunfighting. That stuff is rad.

Giantland

Here's a giant smoking a pipe. He's nestled comfortably against a rock outcropping. What's in the pipe? Who knows. Seems to put him in a good mood though!!

Batmanz

Batman is probably a pretty good place to start a sketchblog. Batman is rad. I wrote a song about him. The lyrics go:
